The “Summer School on European Union Law, Corfu 2023” will take place from 24 to 28 July 2023 in Corfu Island, Greece, and applications are open until 10 June 2023.

The Summer School is yearly organised by the European Law Masters Alumni Association of the Law School of Athens (ELMAA) in collaboration with the Ionian University of Corfu and the Corfu Bar Association.  

The Summer School’s professors are members of the European Court of Justice and the Commission’s Legal Service as well as professors and lawyers from European universities and law firms respectively. The 40 Summer School’s students are mainly LLM/PhD students and young practicing lawyers from all over Europe and abroad.

This year’s main subject of the Summer School courses is the preliminary references submitted by the national courts before the European Court of Justice, around which lectures covering more specific aspects will be given, such as on data protection and on the liability of intermediaries on the internet.

The participation fee covers 6 nights’ accommodation, half board (breakfast, coffee break and dinner) and social activities.
